Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.
Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.
If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.
Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.
Enrolment applications are finalised at the school.

Enrolments for Kindergarten are taken the year before the child starts school. Please ensure that you complete the Enrolment form. Kindergarten children must be five years old by the 31st July in order to be enrolled. You will need to provide the following documentation prior to your child starting school:
Students arriving from overseas will need to bring their passports and visas when enrolling at school and special conditions may exist for some visa holders. Students on Temporary Visas are required to contact the International Business Unit to determine whether or not they are required to pay a fee to the Department of Education and Training.
Cecil Hills Public School’s enrolment policy gives priority to students living within the school’s enrolment boundaries. Students who live outside the local area may be enrolled at the school as long as there are places available for in-area students, or in exceptional circumstances. Decisions regarding enrolment will be made by the school’s enrolment committee.
Kindergarten Orientation and transition days are held each year in Term 4 (see events for this year's dates). This allows the new students to become familiar with the school prior to their first day of school as well as teachers to work with the students.
While children are becoming familiar with the school environment through classroom activities, we will be running workshops for parents. These workshops are aimed at providing parents and carers with valuable information to support families in this extremely important transition. Schedules will be published towards the end of the calendar year.
Kindergarten children commence school after years 1-6 have already started. This information will be communicated to parents during the orientation process.
